A Morning Stroll

Every morning since Elliott was very small we went for walks sometime between 8 and 9.  When he was little I would carry him around our little complex.  When he got a little bigger I would stroll him to the park.  Now he goes on his own walks.
Off we go...
First stop laundry room
Swing some dryer doors...
Chase and be chased by dog

Next, play with ghetto shopping carts

Break someone's garden ornament--check!
Check the pipes
PUDDLES!!

Next laundry room
Ahh more shopping carts.
And I'm spent.

2011 Comes to a Close

Keeping Things Messy
Peter's favorite candies are caramel turtles from the natural grocery store across the street.  We made the mistake of leaving the box out on the dining table.  Elliott disappeared into the kitchen and after a few minutes without making a peep, we peered around the corner to find...

Elliott's first attempt at "dipping".  His skills really haven't improved in the last couple of months, either.

Vegging with my favorite snack: graham crackers.

Presents: I Want the World, I Want the WHOLE World
Grandma B got her doctorate and mailed Elliott a copy of her dissertation.  Unfortunately, at bedtime, Green Eggs and Ham or Brown Bear, Brown Bear usually win out.  Congrats, Grandma!

Peter said goodbye once again to his seasonal mustache.  It's always a difficult parting.

We made our way up to Santa Rosa for Christmas.  The first item on our agenda was to hit up Bodega Bay and bring home a cooler of crab!
Peter and Elliott at the Salt Water Taffy store
Christmas morning was much more exciting for Claribel who had been anticipating Santa bringing her a baby doll and stroller.  Elliott was a bit of a grump most of the morning.

Until we figured out that he was getting heat exhaustion in his new fleece pajamas.

Ahhhhhh...much better.
Thank you grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, cousin, for all the wonderful presents.  Elliott has more toys than he can even play with...

...so Pete and I play with them.  I decided to challenge Pete to a castle building contest with Elliotts new blocks.  Never challenge a Snedecor to any kind of a building contest.

I was feeling very good about mytraditional castle

Playing Around
Drinking from the fire hose
We put our ottoman in front of the TV so he couldn't sit too close.
He has since figured out how to climb up on it.
