Announcement

I think that we can officially report that we have a walker on our hands.  Things are still pretty wobbly, but by the end of the week I'm sure he'll be upright more than crawling.

Elliott 1 year old pics

We went out on October 31st and took some one year-old pictures of Elliott at the beach.  They didn't turn out perfect but i thought Id share a few since this "Snedecor Family" blog is really just an Elliott Snedecor Shrine and there were some super cute ones.

Thanks to Hailey Snedecor for making the little boy happy as could be :)

Halloween

Elliott was a rooster for Halloween--cock-a-doodle-doo!  Surprisingly he enjoyed being in his costume.  The hood didn't even bother him.

1 Year Old

Elliott's First birthday was on Friday October 28th.  We tried to do fun things all day, but lets be honest, he had no idea it was his birthday.

Grandma and Grandpa Davis skyped with us to sing Happy Birthday
Elliott opened presents.  Our neighbor, Cheryl, gave him some cars and we got him a  stuffed doggie,  which he didnt care much for but has since become very fond of.
The next day we received a very special card from Grandma B.  At first Elliott found it kind of interesting but has since become very disturbing.  I, on the other hand, think it's the best birthday card anyone has ever given and had the song stuck in my head for the next two weeks.

Elliott had his birthday party on Sunday.  Uncle Steve and Aunt Hailey, Uncle Matt and Aunt Ally, Uncle Ben, the Lemmons, and the Beeneys all came.  We had burgers and hot dogs...

an animal sound contest with the birthday boy acting as judge...

Ben, Matt and Mike were the finalists, but Mike surprised everyone and took the top prize with his donkey impression.
cake...

and presents...lots of presents.

Overall it was a pretty exhausting day...success!

Aug-Sep-Oct

At the end of August I took a trip up to Santa Rosa for the week while Pete went to Colorado for a training.  We just spent the week visiting with friends and family.  On the last day we dropped by Great-Grandpa Davis's house.  There were SO many fun things there...
Elliott's favorites were these porceline geese
Great Grandpa Davis
Apparently there is something much more interesting on TV
September:
Like father like son.

October 18th we went to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Ally

Ally played around in the corn maze...

...while Elliott learned about the local agriculture

Okay, he just climbed on the pumpkins.

October 7th Uncle Chris got married (no pics, we left that to the professionals); and on October 22nd we had an open house in Santa Rosa for the happy couple.
Zee's sister came from Utah
Water tasting
Katie was willing to pay top dollar for tap water.
A smorgasbord of delicious food.
Cousin Carol, Aunt Bev, and Cousin Barbara checking out the photos from the wedding.
It wouldn't be a proper event for Chris if there wasn't a football game on the tube.

 Opening gifts.                                                      The Hostess.

And the star of the show: the mini cupcakes!
